HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY HAT?
If you want your hat to outlive you, you better take good care of it.
DO´S
- Handle your hat by the crown with care or by the brim as close to the crown as possible.
- When you want to give your hat some rest, put it in a hatbox, hang it on a hook from the back side of the hat or lay it on a flat surface upside down, resting on the crown.
- When your hat gets wet leave it to dry at room temperature.
- Brush your hat now and then with a bristle hat brush by using short strokes and following the natural direction of the fiber (clockwise is most common).
DON’TS
- Do not grab your hat in the front pinching the dents, or by the edge of the brim.
- Never leave your car in the hat or your hat in the car in the heat.
- Try to avoid wearing your hat in intense heat or wet weather.
- When your hat gets wet do not put it close to a heater, and don't you dare to use a hair dryer: your impatience will distort the form of your hat.
